Privacy
Invoices are commercially sensitive. Documents are processed for the active request and discarded afterward. PDF extraction uses private temporary files that are deleted immediately; the cleanup task removes any abandoned workspace older than one hour. We do not permanently store invoice XML, JSON, PDFs, OCR text, invoice numbers, names, addresses, VAT numbers, descriptions, totals, bank details, or other invoice values.
VAT numbers submitted to the optional VIES checker—and names, addresses or consultation references returned by VIES—are relayed for the active request and never persisted or logged by InvoiceReady.ie. The supplied values are sent to the European Commission; browser-generated evidence files are saved only when you download them.
The checker can show submitted or extracted canonical source in the active browser tab, but does not save it in browser storage. Optional recent-result history stores only result IDs, dates, syntax, status and scores. Downloaded correction reports omit the original document, although finding messages may describe discrepancies.
Phase 1 and Phase 2 readiness-assessment answers and staged PDF drafts are never persisted. We retain only direct invoice-validation metadata and findings—such as a random result ID, format, byte size, PDF page count, extraction confidence, ruleset versions, score, rule/message codes and duration—for 90 days. Content-free operational events use the same retention period. Source IP addresses are stored only as keyed HMACs.
Anonymous daily totals may be retained for longer so we can understand service usage and reliability. They contain counts and aggregate scores or durations, not source identifiers or invoice values.
