Strict size, page, time and process limits; no network fetching; no request-body logging; and no permanent invoice-content or OCR-text storage.

Structural, EN 16931, Irish VAT invoice readiness, and exact-decimal arithmetic checks.
Arithmetic coverage
Arithmetic rules independently check line net calculations, line totals, document allowances and charges, tax-exclusive and tax-inclusive totals, VAT taxable and VAT amounts by category/rate, total VAT, prepayments, rounding, amount due, and percentage-based adjustments. Calculations use arbitrary-precision decimal values with a documented 0.01 monetary-unit readiness tolerance.
Current scope
- Canonical JSON and PDF-extracted drafts receive readiness rules rather than official EN 16931 syntax validation.
- PDF extraction is best-effort and supports common English and Irish labels; it is not a guarantee that every layout or scanned value will be recognised.
- Irish VAT treatment can depend on transaction facts the invoice does not establish; those checks may be undetermined.
- CSV ingestion, Revenue submission, Peppol transport and pending Irish technical interfaces remain outside the current scope.
